“That makes ME want to kiss the bride!” said the officiant (jokingly of course) after Kayla read her absolutely beautiful handwritten vows to Joshua! Then it was his turn, and they were just perfect. There is something about a man spilling his heart out that gets me every time. I love love so much, and it gets me all emotional. I’ve always admired couples who write their own vows. It is so special and meaningful, and adds such a sweet touch to the ceremony.
The love that these two have for each other is undeniable. I had the pleasure of photographing their family/engagement in November, along the most gorgeous creek (or river?) on some private property in north Effingham County. The way he looked at her then, and now, is such a beautiful thing. She is a lucky girl.
Kayla and Joshua were married on a warm and sunny Saturday evening, in front of their closest family and friends. The bride looking perfect in her ivory gown, holding a beautifully simple bouquet of red roses, and the groom so handsome in a black tux with a vest and red tie. Mill Creek Equestrian Center in Statesboro, GA was gorgeous, and perfect for this important day.
Jared’s turn! He is the happiest little thing. I’ve never seen a child so happy to be dressed.. and I’m sure it wasn’t the most comfortable outfit!
A mansion to get ready in, a pond as a backdrop to the ceremony, a wild green pasture which I adore, and horses! Lots of horses! Horses have always been special to Kayla, and we even had the most gorgeous black horse in a photo shoot. That was probably the icing on the cake for her!
Prayers for the bride and groom. Just beautiful.
First look with her daddy! Loved this moment!
You may kiss the bride!!
Thank you Kayla and Joshua for choosing me, again! I thoroughly enjoyed our time together, and capturing these special moments you can cherish forever! Congratulations you two, I wish you the very best always!
