Bluffton Oyster Factory Park Wedding | Bluffton Wedding Photographer

Elen and Jody were married on a beautiful Saturday morning at the Bluffton Oyster Factory Park in Bluffton, SC. It was in full bloom with azaleas and wisteria, and sprinkled with huge mossy oaks, old cedars, and lots of palm trees. If that wasn’t enough, we had the gorgeous May River as a backdrop, and a sweet little farmhouse as the cherry on top. It couldn’t have been more perfect!

The couple’s closest family and friends from several states, even as far as California, joined these two sweeties as they said “I do”. Just before the ceremony, the two had a “first touch” around a huge live oak. They held hands for a moment and exchanged some sweet words, but they didn’t get to see the other. Those are always some of my favorite moments, and photos! Their good friend and neighbor, Hodge, was their officiant, which made the ceremony so much more meaningful and special (and one of the cutest ever!). Elen was a stunning bride wearing a dress that was a photographer’s dream, and lovely flowers that she actually arranged HERSELF. Jody was so handsome in his charcoal gray suit with vest and blue bow tie.

After the ceremony and lots (and LOTS) of photos of the couple, we headed to their home for the party! So many beautiful flowers (again that Elen arranged herself), fruity mimosas, a bagel bar with all the fixins, and every fruit you could want. They had local beer from Southern Barrel, a donut wall, decadent looking red velvet cake, and all the supplies to create a photo entry in the guest book. Some memories from Jody’s sweet Grandfather were displayed as well. I know he was missed by so many there that day. There was dancing, eating, drinking, and lots of laughs and good times had by all (including their pups Fuzz, and Eddy the Aussie Possum!)

We finished the day by going on a little walk with Elen’s good friend Cindy, where we found a photo op on a little bridge crossing a creek. It was a nice ending to a fabulous day!

Elen and Jody, you have been so wonderful to work with, and I’m going to miss you! I have really enjoyed getting to know you! You are totally perfect for each other, and I wish you all the love and happiness in the world! Don’t be strangers!
